Socket Countersunk Head Screw/ Bolt
A countersunk head is tapered and is designed to sit flat/ flush on the surface upon which it is fastened. The length of a countersink fixing/ fastener is always from tip to the top.
Allen/ hex socket screw/ bolts need a hexagonal/ allen key to tighten and loosen the fastener. So, ‘Socket,’ refers to the hexagon shaped indentation found on the top of the fasteners’ head.
