Hexagon Bolt
Bolt is the term used for a partially threaded fastener (part plain shank, bolt), with a hexagon shaped head, designed to be used with a nut and washer.
Material:
A4 Stainless Steel (marine) also known as 316. Marine grade stainless has a very high resistance to corrosion
Thread
Metric Coarse Thread - measured in Millimetre (mm) units and were developed to simplify the imperial systems. Europe moved to this system but the Americans choose Imperial as their default. A coarse thread has less helical coils per mm and a fine one has more. Coarse is used for heavier loads and fine is used for lighter loads prone to vibrations.
Bolt Thread Length
The thread length of a shoulder bolt/ plain shank bolt tends to be 2.5 times the diameter of the fastener. Please ask for exact measurements if the shoulder is crucial.
